Mr Mo Saeed
Consultant Colorectal Surgeon
BSc (Hons) MD FRCS FRCS (Gen-Surg)

Mr Saeed is a highly-trained medical professional with over 25 years experience as a collorectal surgeon. He graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Anatomy and a medical degree from the University of Manchester, and undertook surgical training in Manchester and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of England in 1992. Following further specialist training in colorectal surgery in Manchester in 1999, he was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) research degree from the University of Manchester. During the same year he gained the intercollegiate Fellowship in General Surgery, FRCS (Gen-Surg).

Mr Saeed was appointed Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in 2001, holding the senior medical post of Clinical Lead for Colorectal Cancer Surgery and Clinical Director for General Surgery.

He is heavily involved in the teaching and training of both junior doctors and new surgeons. Alongside these roles, he also runs a successful private practice consulting at The Alexandra Hospital (Cheadle) as well as being part of a collaboration of surgeons known as Surgical Care Specialists providing a comprehensive service with expertise in all area of general surgery.

Mr Saeed is a member of the General Medical Council (GMC membership number: 3196964) and was the first consultant in Manchester, to routinely perform the HALO for the treatment of haemorrhoids and one of a small handful of surgeons in the north west who is trained to perform the new Rafaelo procedure.
​
Married to a GP with two children, Mr Saeed also runs a national training centre providing training to other consultant surgeons in the haemorrhoid surgery techniques.
